Located near the East Tennessee, Virginia, and Georgia Railroad (which ran along side of Front Street), as well as the East and West Railroad (which ran next to Railroad Ave ), the Piedmont Springs Hotel was nestled in the picturesque mountains of Piedmont at an elevation of around 1600 feet, an “altitude above the dew line” about a mile south of the town limit.
