Method
- Heat pan to 340 °F degrees (use an electric frying pan). Melt shortening.
- Add meat and onions. Cook until meat browns, stirring as needed. Drain off fat.
- Reduce heat to 220 °F degrees. Mix chili powder, pepper, and flour together and add water. Stir until smooth.
- Add to meat mixture along with remaining ingredients. Mix well.
- Cover and simmer to desired consistency, about 8 minutes. Serve plain or on toasted buns.
Notes
This recipe uses an electric skillet, however, a regular skillet can be used to make this recipe.
