Zambia Team Update

June 29, 2018 – The ladies spent the day in the garden planting carrots. We had to mark the rows and shake the seeds into the rows.  Once that was finished it was if to school for VBS.  The kids enjoyed it as much as we did being with them.  The men finished up their conference and had a great day with the pastors. After they returned home we walked to Catherine’s home for a visit.  All in all, it was a great day.
Attached is a photo from our visit to Catherine’s.
We also got to try some baobab fruit.  It’s dried (like in a gourd) and when cracked open the seeds are eaten like eating hard candy.  After a few minutes in your mouth, you are left with only the seed.  It’s a great source of vitamins too!
