DIY Camping Area Improvement: New Kitchen, Tent Deck, and Picnic Table

Now that summer has ended and the weather has cooled off it is time to start doing more camping and improving the camping area on our property.  In the spring we built a tent deck so we could have a flat and dry area to camp on as well.

Since that time summer, deer flies, mosquitoes and 100F degree temps put a stop to much more work.  Since then the weather is finally cooling off since we are moving into fall and winter.  Once that happened we did some cleanup to get things ready. We even hauled in a picnic table.  Note: Pressure-treated picnic tables are heavy. However, no more trying to balance your meal on your lap or having to make do with what is available.

Almost Done. Added roofing and a gutter to catch rainwater in the rain barrel which sits behind the kitchen. We also added clear roofing to the back to act as a windbreak and backsplash.
