By opting for hostels, we were able to allocate more of our budget toward exploring the diverse attractions Ireland has to offer. From the vibrant city streets of Dublin to the serene coastal town of Cobh, we had the opportunity to delve into the heart of Irish culture. The lively atmosphere of the hostels allowed us to meet fellow travelers from all corners of the globe, exchanging stories and recommendations that enhanced our journey. On our trip, we stayed at Isaacs Hostel in Dublin. Since it was our first trip and having never stayed at a hostel I gave them a phone call months earlier to inquire on lodging. Also since some hostel establishments have various age requirements I wanted to make sure there wouldn’t be an issue with a couple of 40+ adults crashing with them.

Now staying at a hostel may not be everyone’s cup of tea pint of Guinness but it served its purpose, we got to mark of a post-college milestone and saved about $100 Euro a night!  This on its own lets us take several day tours to other parts of Ireland.  At times we did not go the tourist route and went off the beaten path to see more of Dublin, Galway, Doolin, Bushmills, Cobh, and Belfast (just to name a few places we visited).  Meeting the locals, listening to music, and walking the city was the highlight of the trip.  I believe Ireland has the friendliest people!

Visit the Titanic Experience and relive the final port of call for the ill-fated ship, or simply take a leisurely walk along the waterfront, admiring the picturesque harbor and charming Victorian architecture.

No trip to Ireland is complete without exploring the awe-inspiring wonders of the Giant’s Causeway. Located in County Antrim, this UNESCO World Heritage site is a natural phenomenon, featuring approximately 40,000 interlocking basalt columns formed by ancient volcanic activity. Marvel at the geometric formations, hike along the cliffside trails and soak in the breathtaking views across the North Atlantic Ocean.

We braved the famous Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge that was first built by the salmon fishermen to get to their boats. Are you afraid of heights?

Rising over 700 feet above the Atlantic Ocean, these majestic cliffs offer an awe-inspiring spectacle of nature’s power and beauty. Take a leisurely walk along the cliff-top path, breathe in the fresh sea air, and be captivated by the panoramic views of the rugged coastline and distant Aran Islands.
