Sometimes we just need to get outdoors, breathe the fresh air, sweat a little, fight off the mosquitoes, and just unplug. Before Covid, the plan was for a small “cabin” in the woods on our property but then lumber prices started rising. All “cabin” plans were put on the back burner until 2022. Lumber prices have come down a bit so the plan right now is for a 12′ x 12′ tent platform. This project on its own would be a good start since the ground tends to stay damp most of the winter and spring seasons, but also to give us a permanent place to pitch our tent. In the future, we may turn it into a small “cabin” hence the over-engineered base but I can see a lot of fun times in the future camping or just hanging out, up off the ground, and listening to nature.
