Instant Pot Baby Back Ribs

Easy and fast way to make ribs in the Instant Pot that will fall off the bone!

  • Instant Pot Cooker
  • Sheet Pan
  • Trivet Insert for Instant Pot
  • 2 racks Baby Back Ribs
  • 2 tbsp Salt
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1 tbsp Chili Powder
  • 1 tbsp Smoked Paprika
  • 2 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • 1 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • 1 cup Beef Broth
  • 1/4 cup Barbeque Sauce
  1. Make the Spice Rub by mixing together salt, brown sugar, chili powder, paprika, garlic powder, cayenne pepper, and black pepper in a small bowl.

  2. Cut the rack of ribs into equal portions and rub all sides with the spice rub.

  3. Add the beef broth to the Instant Pot bowl making sure the trivet is above the liquid. This will prevent the ribs from sitting in the liquid.

  4. Place the ribs in the Instant Pot in a teepee shape on the trivet. Using the instructions for Instant Pot pressure cook on high for 30 minutes. Depending on the cooker it may take 10 minutes to come to pressure.

  5. Before the ribs are done preheat the oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C). Line a sheet pan with foil.

  6. When the ribs are done carefully release the pressure. Place the ribs on the sheet pan and brush with barbeque sauce. Bake for 7 minutes then turn the ribs and cook for 7 minutes more.
