Stay Warm Out There

I don’t know where you may be but its cold here down in the southern part of the United States. Tomorrow will be the day to watch and see if we get snow, ice, or just rain. Back in 1993 was the last time I remember us getting “real” snow. Snow that was more than just a dusting, and lasted more than a day or two. It all started out looking like it was going to be a fun snow weekend of being outside in the snow or inside watching TV. That all changed when the power went out due to heaving icing on tree limbs and power lines. It’s all fun and games until the electricity is out. In the mean time the old 1930-1940s gas heater got reconnected which did heat up some of the house. It did make for chilly times living in the living room where there was heat but I survived. Power in the area I was living came back on in about 3 days after the storm passed and roads finally got cleared. We are prepared for that type of stuff down here. Did I mention it was the middle of March too?
