Whole-Wheat Coffee Cake

Servings: 1 8- or 9-inch cake

Ingredients Method

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups whole-wheat mix
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 egg
  • ⅔ cup milk or water
Topping
  • ⅔ cup whole-wheat mix
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ⅔ cup chopped nuts
  • 2 tbsp honey

Method
 

Cake
  1. Combine the mix, honey, egg, and milk. Beat until smooth.
  2. Pour into a greased 8- or 9-inch pan.
Topping
  1. Combine the dry ingredients of the topping and toss lightly with the honey.
  2. Sprinkle over batter.
  3. Bake at 400 °F for 20 to 25 minutes.
