Honey Apple Crisp

Ingredients
  

  • 4 cups sliced apples
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • ½ cup honey
  • 1 cup flour
  • ½ cup brown sugar well packed
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ½ cup butter

Method
 

  1. Spread sliced apples in a 1½ quart baking dish. Sprinkle with granulated sugar and lemon juice.
  2. Pour honey over all.
  3. Mix flour, brown sugar, and salt in a bowl and work in butter as for biscuits, making a crumb mixture.
  4. Spread flour mixture over apples.
  5. Bake at 375 °F degrees about 40 minutes, or until the apples are tender and the crust is crisply brown. Serves 6-8
